In a game on September 24, 2012 on Monday Night Football against the Seattle Seahawks, Jennings appeared to intercept Russell Wilson's final pass, but the officials instead ruled that Seattle Wide Receiver Golden Tate had simultaneous possession of the ball and therefore it was ruled a touchdown. Because a scoring play cannot be overturned in replay on grounds of possession, the call was upheld. Seattle won 14-12. The play has been referred to as the "Touchception". In addition, it has mockingly been said that "This is the only game where a quarterback got credited for throwing a game winning interception." |
