"Try" is a song by American recording artist and songwriter Pink, released as the second single from her sixth studio album The Truth About Love. It was released on September 6, 2012 by RCA Records. It is yet to be released on Mainstream and Rhythmic radio stations.

Background

On September 6, 2012, (The night Pink performed at the MTV VMA's), "Try" was released to radio stations. It was written by the writers Busbee and Ben West.

Composition

"Try is a Pop rock, electronic rock song with New Wave influences. It has a duration of four minutes and seven seconds. It was produced by Greg Kurstin.

Chart Performance

Because of it's constant airplay, it debuted at number 8 in Australia, 21 in New Zealand and 56 in the USA. It also debuted in Canada at number 26, Switzerland and number 27 and Austria and number 72.

Music video

On Pink's official web chat, Pink announced that a Music Video for "Try", had been filmed. On August 28, 2012, P!nk tweeted the music video for Try "could be one of the best videos of her career."

Live Performances

Pink performed the song at her mini show in Los Angeles to promote her album, "The Truth About Love". The whole set of five songs were broadcast and released on her VEVO account. The setlist was: "Are We All We Are?", "How Come You're Not Here?", "Try", "Slut Like You" and "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)".

Pink has performed the song at IHeartRadio Music Festival on September 22, 2012. The setlist was: "Raise Your Glass", "Just Like A Pill", "Try", "Fuckin' Perfect", "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" and "So What".
