::Old discussion and a long story, mostly linked to a Slovenian editor who started a "country of origin" spat over at another article. When we get into these spats (we have one like this at [[Karabakh horse]] too, Azerbaijan and Armenia are still spatting about Nagorno-Karabakh, sigh), our tendency is to list the national origin as of the time of origin and let the shifting boundaries be argued over by others at the geography articles. "Maestoso (1773) and Favory (1779): born in Kladruby, became two of the six founding Lipizzaner stallion lineages. Favory returned to Kladruby after WWII, to add new blood to the decimated herd" That statement will mean (asssuming that WWII means World war II) that Favory was at least about 170 years old. The Kladruber is not a Czech horse, but a horse from the Habsburg Monarchy --Andreas Hausberger (talk) 17:33, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
- How is that? These horses have never been bred outside Bohemia and the breed was set up by a Bohemian aristocratic family. I don't understand your logic. That's like saying that the Reims Cathedral is not a French cathedral, but a cathedral from the Frank Empire. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.80.83.109 (talk) 15:47, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
