The Australian Premier League or APL for short, is the second highest level in Australian football. Presently it has one division located in the Australian state of Queensland. This competition, known as the Queensland Conference will be first played in the 2013.

On 3 October 2012 the Queensland Conference was officially launched.[1] It is expected that in the coming years each state in Australia with have its own conference.[citation needed]
