In 1994–95, the club changed its name to LichfieldCity and the club finished runners-up, gaining promotion to the Premier Division. History

Formed in 1970 as Lichfield F.C., the club entered the West Midlands (Regional) League Division One B in 1976.[1] The following year the league became Division One.
