Multiplanetary systems organized by spectral type of host star.

There are (as of 24 July 2024) 1007 known multiplanetary systems[1] (i.e. stars with at least two confirmed planets), beyond our Solar System. The star table below contains information about the coordinates, spectral and physical properties, and number of confirmed planets (as of July 7, 2011). The two most important stellar properties are mass and metallicity because it determines how these planetary systems form. The higher mass and metallicity tend to have more planets and more massive planets.

There are 65 stars with two planets, 18 with three, 5 with four, 3 with five, 1 with six, 1 with seven, and 1 with eight. The star with the most confirmed planets is our Sun, which contains 8 confirmed planets. The star with the most confirmed exoplanets is HD 10180 with 7 planets.

Planetary systems

Coloured rows indicate stars with at least three planets.
