PG College Ghazipur is a Post Graduate College situated in Ghazipur Uttar Pradesh India[1]. The college was established in July 1957 as the first Degree College of Ghazipur. Initially it was affliated with University of Gorakhpur but currently its affliation is with VBS Purvanchal University Jaunpur[2]. Currently it offeres courses in mainly 4 stream of Arts, Science, Agriculture and Education.
Location & Surroundings
College is situated on the western Edge of the City Ghazipur. Just nearby the college is the famous Archeological Site tomb of Lord Cornwallis. College has some large Farms in its sorrounding which are owned by Colleges's Agricultural Department. Its campus has a mango groove & a garden which has many veriety of Gulab flower.
History & Founding
PG College Ghazipur was founded as a degree college in affliation with Gorakhpur University in 1957. Before being college it was an Secondry School which was run by Theosophical Society Affiliates.
Courses being Offered
Collge is currently offering courses in 4 streams of Arts both Bachelors (B.A.) & Masters (M.A.), Sciences B.SC. & M.Sc. , Agriculture B.Sc. Ag. & Education B.Ed.. Beside these it has got a new wing which is offerring technical & professional courses. BCA, MCA, BBA & MBA which are currently being run as a separate institution name TERIPGC, degrees are offered from PTU.
