Camberwell High School is a prestigious State School for boys and girls (co-ed) in Years 7-12 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Located in Melbourne's inner eastern tree-lined affluent suburb of Canterbury.
Houses
Interhouse competitions remain an integral part of the school's ethos.
The four Houses with their associated colours are:
- Macarthur (Green)
- Roosevelt (Red)
- Churchill (Yellow)
- Montgomery (Red)
The names for the houses were derived from war heroes and leaders of World War II. As Camberwell High School was opened in 1945 after the completion of the war, the houses were named after the leaders of the United States and the United Kingdom as well as the US and British Generals.
