The demographics section is misleading if based on 2001 census data: owner-occupation of homes in Britain is widely reported to have fallen massively since that year (arguably due to the boom in Buy-To-Let and the increasing unaffordability of houses to first-time buyers); plus there has been substantial immigration to the UK since then, and a person aged 44 in 2001 would be 55 now. In summary, 2001 was a long time ago so it's a bit misleading to present this as "this is how Whiteley is now". (Also, isn't Whiteley a little bigger now than it was in 2001?) It would be interesting to know if more up-to-date information is publicly available. Whiteley has no pubs, no cinema, no library & no banks. I think a balanced article would mention this.

Except that it has a pub (Parsons Collar) and a (mobile) library. Have you ever visited?
'Whiteley is reported by the local health authority to have a higher than average rate of divorce and separation'
- but it is not easy to see what that has to do with the local health authority! CanOfWorms (talk) 20:53, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
