== Orphaning minor species articles ==

Putting a big tag on this requesting that users link it to other articles will not wind up with useful links on en.Wikipedia. There are hundreds of thousands of minor taxa articles that do no wikilink to other articles. If the article is about a major species, a well-known species, a genus, or higher taxon, it might be appropriate to call attention to the article not being wikilinked. In the case of this article, it is linked to a list of species of ''Rhododendron'', as are or will be another thousand species. But, the only other place to link most of these species would be by adding a 1000-species list to the genus article.

Popular cultivars and hybrids and species will be linked. But not all.

Orphaning minor species articles

Putting a big tag on this requesting that users link it to other articles will not wind up with useful links on en.Wikipedia. There are hundreds of thousands of minor taxa articles that do no wikilink to other articles. If the article is about a major species, a well-known species, a genus, or higher taxon, it might be appropriate to call attention to the article not being wikilinked. In the case of this article, it is linked to a list of species of Rhododendron, as are or will be another thousand species. But, the only other place to link most of these species would be by adding a 1000-species list to the genus article.

Popular cultivars and hybrids and species will be linked. But not all.
