- This project template is under construction, created by blatantly copying Wikipedia:WikiProject Alaska and replacing all instances of Alaska with Colorado. Anyone is welcome to rearrange things or help set up some of the subsidiary pages and templates.

This WikiProject was formed to foster better articles on the U.S. state of Colorado with a spirit of cooperation. This page and its subpages contain suggestions on formatting and layout of articles, which can be discussed at the project's talk page. To participate, simply add your name at the member section below.
Outline
This WikiProject was created to organize, format, expand, and exemplify Colorado related articles on Wikipedia. Our to-do list is located to the right, and is in a constant state of flux.
Project Divisions
- Communities (talk) — Cities, towns, villages and boroughs
- Physical geography (talk)— Regions, parks, climate, physical features
- Transportation (talk)— Roads, trails, rail, ferries, and airplanes in and around Colorado
- Culture (talk)— Music, art, icons, mass communication
- People (talk) — Includes Colorado natives and those residents who have shaped Colorado
- Government (talk) — Government: federal, state and local politics in relation to Colorado
- History (talk) — History of Colorado during and prior to statehood
- Economy (Talk) — Major Colorado industries, employers, trends, and history relating to the economy of Colorado

I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, and am proud of my heritage throught the Centennial State. I'm currently devoting my time on Wikipedia to Colorado-related articles, and am well educated in the history of the state, so I am open to any ways I can contribute to the project.

- Webdinger 02:13, 12 April 2006 (UTC) I've been living in Colorado for a very long time now (Colorado Springs specifically) and I believe it's important to improve all Colorado-related articles. A project like this is a wonderful way to initiate and drive that process.
- tstockma 05:46, 17 April 2006 (UTC) Likewise, I'm in Colorado Springs have done considerable work on its page in the last few months, plus expanding some of eastern Colorado counties' pages, and a few other Colorado tasks. Having a "task list" sounds great, especially if we can prioritize.

- Notchcode I am a native, living and working in the Denver-Metro area and am excited to help out. I do work for the state agency that governs mines and mined land reclamation, and have a lot of mining-related knowledge I can share (in addition to the usual native knowledge ;) ).
