Please refrain from posting your opinions using all capital letters. It is rude, and makes useful collaboration difficult. I am fairly certain you are also [[user:80.47.142.143]], and this goes for "him" as well. If I am mistaken in this assertion, please let me know. - [[User:Halidecyphon|Halidecyphon]] 10:22, 7 April 2006 (UTC) |

Hallo Martin- I reverted your (extensive) cut and pasted reviews because a) they were just blatant advertising; b) there is a potential copyright issue- it is not acceptable to simply cut and paste material from other sources. If you want to draw attention to what may be a new source for the article, then you would be best to include a SHORT paragraph explaining that a new text is available, and perhaps a link to a decent external review. An alternative would to simply read the book and add (with proper references) any useful information to the article proper, rather than the talk page. It's probably best NOT to link directly to Amazon unless really necessary however, as this is considered 'linkspam' by some (links to commercial websites are a bit of a no-no). Please bear in mind that the Francis Crick talk page is for discussing changes ''to that article''- it is not a general bulletin board for discussing his life and work. Hello and welcome to Wikipedia!
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- Read the Tutorial, and feel free to experiment in the Sandbox.
- Eventually, you might want to read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk or ask me on my talk page.
- To sign your name on a talk page, please finish your comments with ~~~~ (four tildes). The wiki will insert a link to your userpage and the timestamp.
- Not every subject needs its own page. Sometimes it is wiser to deal with certain subjects together on one page. See Wikipedia:Merge and Wikipedia:Redirect for some background. You may want to review Avoiding common mistakes to get started quickly.
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck! JFW | T@lk 22:14, 29 September 2005 (UTC)
