Kristin Cashore, born in 1976, is an American fantasy author, whose debut novel, Graceling, was published in October 2008.[1] The book has been nominated for the Andre Norton and William C. Morris awards, and is held in over 1000 libraries.[2] Her second book, Fire, came out in October 2009, and is described as being a 'prequel-ish companion book' to Graceling[citation needed]. Her third book, Bitterblue, was released 01 May 2012. [3][4]
