João Carlos Serra Ferreira Pereira (born 11 April 1965 in Luanda, Angola) is a Portuguese football manager.
Football career
Pereira started coaching at 32, starting with amateurs A.C. Marinhense, which he promoted in 2000 to the Portuguese Second Division B, before moving to S.C. Pombal. His first division debuts came in 2003–04, with Académica de Coimbra, which he led to the 13th place, avoiding relegation.
In early 2005, Pereira signed with C.D. Nacional, with which he was able to beat both Porto (4-0) and Sporting (4-2) in away games.
He joined Kuwait's Al Tadamon in 2007 and finished the season in 6th.
After leading G.D. Estoril Praia to the 4th place in 2008–09 second division, he returned to the top level signing with C.F. Os Belenenses, which had previously been relegated only to avoid it later, due to C.F. Estrela da Amadora's serious financial problems.
On 9th of December 2010, he moved to Cypriot first league, being appointed at Ermis Aradippou, avoiding relegation and obtaining the record of points for the club in the Top League.
In December 2011, Pereira joined Servette F. C. in Switzerland, leading a team with the spectrum of bankrupcy. He left the club in April due to financial problems.
