Chanugondla village (చనుగొ౦డ్ల గ్రామ౦) is 12 km far away from Owk mandal,100 km from Kurnool & 325 km from State capital Hyderabad. Population of village is about 1000 in 2011. Chanugondla village is surrounded by Sunkesula,Akumalla,Singanapalle,Sangapatnam,Ramapuram, Perusomula & Singavaram. Village is developing now and profession of this village people is 90% = Farming & 10% Stones business. So many people from this people migrated to nearby village Ramapuram & settled there by starting business (factory).

Education

This village people are survived by Mandal Parishat Prathamica Patashala (M.P.P School) which is established in 1960's , Which converted so many illiterate people into literate people.

Class I-V  : M.P.P School,Chanugondla @ The school is survived by 3 classrooms for & 2 teachers.

Class VI-X : Z.P.H School,Akumalla (5 km away) the school is survive by 15 classrooms,strength of 1000 students & 25 teachers.

and now all parents are sending their children to private schools mostly in owk,kolimigundla & Nandyal.

For studying Intermediate & Higher studies, they have to go to other towns or cities & study . And there is no other option for studying higher studies near to home.

Cricket is a famous sport here in the villages & sometimes there will be tournaments conducted by mandal authorities.
