Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder is the 1st novel in the Hannah Swensen Mysteries novels by Joanne Fluke.
Plot
Hannah Swensen runs the popular Cookie Jar bakery in Lake Eden, Minnesota, with the help of her sister Lisa and mother. However, Hannah dodges all attempts to get married by her mother, who wants her to settle down. Then, the bakery's delivery man from the Cozy Cow Diary, Ron LaSalle is found dead in the back with Hannah's signature Chocolate Chip Crunches scattered around him. Fearing that her business might get a bad reputation along with the Crunches, Hannah sets out to find the killer.
The case becomes more puzzling when Hannah finds a runaway teenager sleeping under the bakery's Christmas tree. Who is she and where did she come from? Did she commit the crime? And who taught her how to make the most delicious confections Hannah and Lisa have ever tasted?
