Rakesh Pandit is an Indian playback singer. He sang for hit movies like Omkara, Guzaarish.[1][2]
Early life
He was born in Bombay, India to renowned classical artiste Shambhu Pandit and nephew of Shankar Pandit. His brother is composer-violinist Deepak Pandit.[3] He started training classical music under his father.
Career
Rakesh Pandit debuted in 1994 when he rendered the high-pitched alaaps and the sargam for Tu cheez badi hai mast mast from Mohra.
He won recognised after his song in Maqbool and Omkara. He sings genres like classical and folk to bhajan, ghazal, qawwali and Sufiana songs.
