I have no objection to putting it in BJAODN. It is pretty weird. Brian G. Crawford, the so-called "Nancy Grace of AfD" 01:16, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks! I'm as happy to delete irrelevancies as the next person, but it's always more satisfying to improve an article, yes? :-) Ziggurat 01:30, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

Idit Harel Caperton
Hi. I took a look at this article because it was nominated as a good article. Before accepting that nomination, I'd like to know whether you really still need that "major revision" tag that's currently on the talk page. The article seems to be pretty much there now (at least to me) and if it's ok with you I'd remove that tag. --Mmounties (Talk) 06:11, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
Pittsnogling!
Hey, I saw your strike of your Pittsnogling comment on my RfA. WOW! That was a great game. West Virginia can hit 3s like damn! Hopefully you'll root for the Horns for the rest of the tournament? Thanks for bringing some humor and fun to the Wikipedia; we can always use more of that! — Scm83x hook 'em 05:29, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

My RfA
My RfA recently closed and it was a success, passing at 84-02-00. I would like to thank you for taking the time to weigh in and on your subsequent support. And I know it's quite cliche, but if you ever need any assistance and/or want another opinion on something, grab a Pepsi and don't hesitate to drop me a line on my talk page. Thanks again. Washington (state)
Thanks for your sympathy (or at least that of your wife). ;) Substituting "Washington" (or, when disambiguation is absolutely necessary, "Washington state") for "Washington State" is one of my little wiki-obsessions. It just annoys the heck out of me. Thanks for reassuring me that I'm not the only Washingtonian who feels this way--even if it IS a Husky that I'm commiserating with. Cheers! RfA Results and Thanks
Youngamerican, thank you for supporting me in my recent RfA. Although it did not succeed as no consensus was declared (final: 65/29/7), I know that there is always an opportunity to request adminship again. If and when that day comes, I hope you will once again support me. If at any time I make any mistakes or if you would like to comment on my contributions to Wikipedia, you are more than welcome to do so. Regardless of your religious, cultural, and personal beliefs, I pray that whatever and whoever motivates you in life continues to guide you on the most righteous path. |

Luchteren
- To the English-speaking reader, the article is somewhat confusing. It is factually correct, but it could use some editing by a user with a near-native understanding of English. The cleanup tag is not there to insult your hard work, but rather so someone with knowledge in the subject can be made aware of the needs of the article. Cheers. youngamerican (talk) 22:50, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, I'll see what I can do. Greetings, Belgian man 18:29, 7 April 2006 (UTC) (I was not too lazy to type this shorter sentence in English :P)
Thanks
I have requested a Userfy until further information comes. Jtmichcock 00:35, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

Fudger - from January
Hi There,
The wikipedia is an excellent academic resource - and speaking as someone with a masters degree in Hypermedia ( 2005 ) I have relied upon it for research on a number of occasions ... almost everybody who takes part in creating it does an invaluable job.
But ...
Back in January, you wrote to a new user identifying themselves as 'fudger' - and I am now trying to make contact with them, as it appears they were posing as me whilst making a string of rather cutting comments about one of my publishing clients ( I work as a photographer )
It appears they then went on to contact a number of my client's contacts using an invented e-mail address to guide them to the entry they had created on the Wiki.
This has caused me a huge amount of distress, and I'm now trying to locate their I.P address to pass on to my legal advisor - can you help me in any way ?
I'm sure you will agree with me that this is NOT an appropriate use of such a vast and well respected academic resource.
I can be reached at: grahamfudger@btopenworld.com
Many, many thanks.
Graham
1WW Refactor
Please see Refactor and New discussion.
You were gracious enough to comment on 1WW; as you may know there are now seven competing proposals. On April 6 I suggested that I be permitted to refactor the proposal page into a single, unified proposal. It's my belief that most of us are tending toward the same or a similar restriction on wheel warring. I think it's unwieldy, though, as it stands. A fair number of editors have commented on these distinct versions but (precisely because they are so similar) no single one has gained undisputed consensus. I suggest that a single, improved version may fare better on its way to policy.
Just as I proposed the refactor, an editor brought to our attention yet another competing proposal, which I merged into the others, using the same format. Still another proposal has since been added, bringing the total to 7. The two new proposals are encountering an indifferent reception but they, too, have some merit.
At the time I suggested refactor, I also put myself forward as the editor to write the initial draft, based on the plurality of support for "my" version. Since the two new proposals have been added, this plurality has held.
I don't for a moment feel that this gives me any special right to dictate terms; rather I hope to draft a proposal uniting the best features of existing proposals. Unlike any of the seven currently competing versions, this refactor will be open to editing immediately by any editor. I will ask editors to refrain from supporting or opposing the new draft for the time being; instead, to edit the proposal to reflect their specific concerns. I believe the true consensus policy will then emerge, in true wiki fashion. After all, we're not so far apart.
I come to your talk page today to ask for your comment on this refactor. Clearly this will be a major change to the proposal page and I don't feel comfortable being quite that bold without some expression of interest in the idea. Once the new draft is in place, I hope also for your participation to polish it into a true expression of our values. Let's move forward with this complement to WP:3RR. "The Big Red Machine" was an informal nickname used by commentators to refer to Jacobs. It's hardly an appropriate heading for a neutral, factual encylopedia. The existing headings have absolutely no connotations, whereas "Big Red Machine" certainly does. McPhail 20:31, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
- I hadn't noticed your edits to the paragraph in question. I've restored them, with the exception of the information relating to Johnson, which would really need a credible source. McPhail 20:35, 26 April 2006 (UTC)

An Admin?
Hello! Remember me? I just wanted to know whether you are an admin. If not, are you interested in being nominated for adminship status? I noticed that you are a dedicated editor to Wikipedia. We need more people like you! --Siva1979Talk to me 02:33, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
- But you have been here for more than a year! Anyway, I respect your decision but I think that you will be a fine admin. Lastly, I wish to thank you for welcoming me way back in January 2006. Good luck for the future! --Siva1979Talk to me 18:56, 1 May 2006 (UTC)

How do you say Gallipolis?
Hi, Youngamerican -- Recalling your help with sorting out the pronunciation of Kanawha, I thought that if you have any opinions one way or the other, maybe you'd enjoy weighing in on another matter of regional pronunciation: Talk:Gallipolis, Ohio. I've always quietly suspected that "lis"-vs-"lees" is somehow a class-related issue, which leaves me wanting to tread gently... But maybe I'm wrong! Thanks and good evening -- Malepheasant 03:09, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the research and for your thoughts on the matter, with which I'm in agreement. --Malepheasant 03:03, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
