The airline has trouble because of sanctions by Obama, just recently lifted. Until then, Americans could go to prison if they bought a ticket on the airline because of it's government ties, even th ough privately owned. |

On the 25th December 2012, a Fokker 100 on route from Yangon to Heho made an emergency landing on a road about 3km from its destination. The aircraft was carrying more than 60 passengers, of whom 1 on board the aircraft and one motorcyclist were killed and 11 injured. The cause of the accident is as yet unclear.
