Snowtown opened the 50th anniversary of Critics Week at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival, and then went onto play the festival circuit, featuring at the Toronto Film Festival 2011, and the London Film Festival 2011.

In 2012 he played the role of Nick opposite Josh Lawson and Rachel Taylor in the Working Dog comedy Any Questions for Ben? directed by Rob Sitch. He also played Dave in Pete Templeman off beat romantic comedy debut Not Suitable for Children opposite Sarah Snook.

For Television he played the role of Jock in the Fremantle media/ABC mini series Devils Dust, directed by Jessica Hobbs and playing opposite Anthony Hayes.

In 2013 Daniel will be seen in the features The Babadook, directed by Jenny Kent and starring Essie Davis, Around the Block starring Christina Ricci and Jack Thompson, directed by Sarah Spillane, and the apocalyptic These Final Hours, directed by Zak Hilditch and starring Nathan Phillips.

He is currently performing on stage as part of Sydney Festival 2013 for the Sydney Theatre Companies production of the Andrew Bovell's adaptation of Kate Grenville's book The Secret River, directed by Neil Armfield, starring Nathaniel Dean, Anita Hegh, Jeremy Sims and Colin Moody.

Daniel Henshall is an Australia-based actor.

He is best known for his portrayal of the serial killer John Bunting in the 2011 movie Snowtown which is based on the Snowtown murders.
