Bobby Chinn, born 3 April 1964 in Auckland, New Zealand, is a restaurateur and television host in Hanoi, Vietnam of mixed Chinese American and Egyptian heritage.[1] He grew up in different places including England, Egypt, New York, and San Francisco.

Chinn graduated with a bachelor degree in finance and economics in the United States and was briefly a financer on Wall Street.[2] He was associated later with San Francisco chefs Hubert Keller, Traci des Jardine, and Gary Danko. He moved to Hanoi in 1996 and opened Restaurant Bobby Chinn.[3]

Chinn hosts the television show World Cafe Asia for the Travel and Living Channel, BBC's Saturday Kitchen, UKTV Food's Great Food Live, and Bobby Chinn Cooks Asia for the Discovery channel.[4]
