Career history

Brian Banks (born July 24, 1985) is an American football linebacker for the Las Vegas Locomotives of the United Football League.[1][2]

Banks was a standout high school football star at Polytechnic High School in Long Beach, California, and had verbally committed to play for USC.[3] He spent more than five years in prison after accepting a plea deal on rape and kidnapping charges. He was later exonerated by the California Innocence Project of all charges after the woman involved in the case recanted her claim.[4][5][6] Following his exoneration, Banks sought to resume his football career. He attended mini-camps for several NFL teams before signing with the Locomotives on September 20, 2012.[7]
