I support having an independent-league baseball team in Loudoun. Let me get that out of the way, first, before I get attacked as someone who does not support the team, the stadium, etc.

My problem with the article is that THIS TEAM THAT DOES NOT NOW, NOR EVER EXISTED. Go to the show/hide template for the Loudoun Hounds, and one sees links for: History, Records, Ballpark, and Rivalries. How can a team that has never existed and has no stadium have a history, records, ballpark, and rivalries? This all seems a bit presumptuous and self-serving.

On its face, this post appears to be promotional and commercial in nature. I suggest a major re-edit, not only on this page, but the one relating to the stadium issue.

Same team?

Is this webpage [1] about the same Baseball team?Mohamed Magdy (talk) 13:31, 16 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No, that's the high school in Leesburg. This is a professional team in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. Fool4jesus (talk) 02:27, 24 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think there's much reason to continue with The Dog Yard now that the Loudoun Hounds have announced that it won't be built, but I think some of its information should be included here as part of history of the team-to-be. -- Pemilligan (talk) 03:50, 4 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It will be built, just in a different development. The ballpark is a separate entity from the team. --JaMikePA (talk) 19:23, 4 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with Pemilligan. Until some stadium rises out of the ground, the content can live here. And even after that, it remains to be seen if the as-yet-unnamed stadium will be notable enough to merit an article of its own. Certainly The Dog Yard was a bridge too far :-) RossPatterson (talk) 21:07, 4 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Promotional/Commercial Article?

I support having an independent-league baseball team in Loudoun. Let me get that out of the way, first, before I get attacked as someone who does not support the team, the stadium, etc.

My problem with the article is that THIS IS A TEAM THAT DOES NOT NOW, NOR HAS EVER EXISTED.
