Blue Canyon Wind Farm is the largest wind farm in Oklahoma, United States.[1] The project, located in the Slick Hills, consists of two phases.
The first phase consists of 45 NEG Micon 1.65 MW capacity wind turbines, collectively generating a maximum 74.25 MW of electricity. It began commercial operations in December 2003. The second phase consists of 84 Vestas V80 1.8 MW capacity wind turbines, collectively generating a maximum of an additional 151.2 MW. Owned and operated by Horizon Wind Energy, it began commercial operations in December 2005.[2]
