Stockport Cricket Club is a cricket club based in Stockport, Greater Manchester, in the North West of England. The club has many close ties with local Schools in the area, such as Reddish Vale Technology College, which incidentally is where the former Chairman of the club, M. Short works during the day.
Stockport Cricket Club is the largest organistation of its type in the borough, which is why it continues to encourage new members to join and participate in the sport.
The cricket pitch is overlooked by a war memorial consisting of a large stone column inscribed with the names of club members who died in both World Wars and includes quotations from the Bible (Macabees) and Rudyard Kipling.
