KAMANAHALLI is a small village located at TUMKUR District, TURUVEKERE Taluk, MAYASONDRA Hobli and VITTALAPURA Post. The village about 12 km from Yadiyur which is famous for Lord Siddalingeshwar Temple and 100 km from IT City of Bangalore.

The village has a population of around 150(around 30 families). The average literacy rate is 70% though the village has no primary school, the village is also deprived of basic facilities like Roads or Transportation even after 65 years of Independence. The villagers are dependent on neighbouring villages for primary and secondary education. For the hospital and medicine, villagers have to go at least 15 km from the village.


Kamanahalli have lord Sri Ranganatha Swamy temple and lord Lakshmi named by lord Sri Muttinamma temple hereby. There is a festival celebrated during the month of March or April, generally held for 9 days.
The village is having around 150 populations (around 30 families). The average literacy rate is 70% though village is deprived from primary school, the village is also deprived from basic facilities like Road, Transportation even after 65 years of Independence. The villagers are depending on neighbouring village for primary and secondary education, for the hospital and medicine villagers have to go at least 15 km from the village.


The main occupation in the village is agriculture. The farmers follow innovative methods of growing Coconut, Paddy, Raagi, Vegetables and many other crops according to seasons as well as dairying some of them. There are may coconut trees found around the village. The village has a small lake near Sri Muttinamma temple, the main source of water to grow paddy. The villagers also depend on the bore well water for drinking and agriculture.


The Shimsha river passes through north to south nearby in the east, providing water for agriculture. The Shimsha river is essential to the villagers.
