In technology:

  • Hardware Platform Interface, a technical specification defined by the Service Availability Forum
  • High Pressure Injection, which can refer to:
    • a technology to inject diesel fuel into the cylinder
    • a safety system in nuclear reactors which involves forcing large amounts of cold water into the reactor core
  • .HPI, one of the compression formats used by the 1997 RTS Total Annihilation
  • Host Port Interface, an electrical interface found on some Texas Instruments Digital Signal Processors. This interface allows connecting a DSP to a microprocessor, microcontroller or another DSP. Some DSPs manufactured by Analog Devices also have a similar interface, but in Analog Devices literature they are called Host Interface Port (HIP).
