Template:Wikify-date Jason "Rocket" Scotland (born February 18, 1979)is a Trinidad and Tobago footballer who plays as a forward (soccer) for St Johnstone F.C. in Scotland. After playing for Malick Senior Comprehensive School, Scotland went on to San Juan Jabloteh, Defence Force (Trinidad - 11-July-2003), Dundee United (Scotland - 15-Jul-2003 to 22-Jul-2005) before joining his current club in August 23, 2005.
Jason Scotland made his belated entry into the Trinidad and Tobago senior football team by scoring two goals, which steered T&T to a 2-1 win over visiting Scottish Premier Division side, Dundee on the 19th of Jan-2003.[citation needed] The then Dundee United manager Ian McCall brought him to Tannadice last summer after Jason secured a work permit. He made his United debut on August 31, 2003, against Glasgow Rangers and scored five times in his first nine starts in the SPL.[citation needed] In 2005 Jason was force to return to Trinidad after his work permit application was turned down for renewal. His club Dundee United is still fighting for the player to join them with the Home Office Department in the UK.[citation needed]
