An article devoted entirely to 2D's relationship to Murdoc is pretty impractical. Not to mention it's not exactly written like an encyclopedia. "Sadly, that idolization has ended" etc.

And is that reference at the end really a "fan-made" biography? Because I pretty sure that www.fans.gorillaz.com is the official Gorillaz fansite. --Foot Dragoon 10:54, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've taken out the Stuart Tusspot references because that is something a fan made up. He has been called Stuart officialy, and Stu, but 'Tusspot' hasn't appeared anywhere other than fanworks. Also, the 1978 birthdate is not official. It's true that the first official Gorillaz biography, released in 2000, said he was 23 years old. But that in no way means he was born in 1978. Just look at Noodle, said to be '10' in 2000, yet, in 2006, is supposedly 14 according to official sources. - The Masked Avenger

I've changed the birthplace. 2-D isn't from Hertfordshire; he's from Crawley... and HOW did this whole "TUSSPOT IS NOT HIM REAL NAME!" thing get started? Don't you people have better things to do? Albino Bebop 04:01, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The third paragraph of the Quirks section seems more based on personal opinion than fact. On the special edition of Gorillaz' debut album, it is written in the included booklet that both Murdoc and 2D wrote the songs, not one or the other. Moreover, there is no real way to tell weather 2D or Murdoc wrote them. Also, it is only rumored that 2D has fathered children, not fact. The third paragraph does not mention any of this. -Anonymous

Possibly because of his missing teeth, he says "summfink" instead of "something", and "fing" instead of "thing".
--Er, no, it's rather more likely to be due to the fact that he's English, and has an English accent. The th->f is a common pronunciation in many regions of England. --82.3.94.238 21:17, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Stu's Intelligence

Obviously he's just a charcter, but from getting into his sidestory and scripts from the 'official' interviews, I don't think that 2D is actually stupid. One has to realize that it's only within this fictitious four-walled environment that he's only treated and perceived as if he is stupid by others, but there really doesn't seem to be much in evidence to actually support this notion. In his bio, he was perscribed all sorts aspirins and medication from his neglegent mother, he has suffered repeated physical injuries to his head going so many years back and he likely has likely consumed all sorts of drugs over the years. But one can only imagine that this has all only left him quite scatterred. As far as the commentaries on the band's written material goes, 2D did leave some of the deepest, most profound insights into the bands works, albeit he was less consistent in volunteering thoughts and metacognition than Noodle. This only leaves one to speculate that underneath all permanent trauma and drug induced mental haze that he has to live with, there still likely is a very intelligent mind in his cranium that will come to surface when gaged at the right moment.

--- --- ---

(argument): the character does from time to time deliver statements which seem to carry profound weight, however is this rhetoric which he conveys intentional or inadvertant? Perhaps the character has tendency of speaking outloud only so he may hear the voice inside of his head rattle; he speaks only so he may listen to his own scattered thoughts. If one was consider to this to be a hall mark of human intelligence, then one may consider this character to be intelligent. But, perhaps it is others who hear the profundity in his words reflected in their own cognitive thoughts. Considering that he was cast under the Gemini sign (Hewlett seems to hold in synchronicity with the traditional manga birthdate type-casting), chances are he is of the latter persuasion, someone with the tendency of verbalizing thoughts before intinetionally refining his ideas into a statment which would intentionally carry intellectual weight. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.183.42.3 (talk) 21:13, 19 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Marijuana

One section said at one point that he smoked marijuana, and that he said so in an interview. I'm glad that was deleted, as no interview has 2D making any such comment. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.180.130.224 (talk) 22:48, 10 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

2D's myspace

2D.Noodle.Russel.and Murdoc have myspace. 2D's is stuartpot.

NightMares

I don't think the thing about 2D having nightmares and wetting his bed is true. I mean.. come on, seriously. Someone needs to redo his whole bio, because its messed up. Gorillaz fans (or 2D fans) may be reading the wrong information. Sorry, but I suggest someone look up his bio on google or something if they want to know about him. Because this information is all a bit messed up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.224.99.139 (talk) 00:50, August 30, 2007 (UTC)

Really? I thought 2D might have an account on Wikipedia because I saw that in the article and then when I got on later it was gone, so I thought 2D might've seen it and gone "Oh crap! How'd that get out?!" and then deleted it. Anyway, yeah, I don't think he really wets his bed. Everyone has nightmares though. Noodle2D23 19:01, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Year of birth

I also have to bring up another issue... 2d's birth date is wrong. 2d was born in 1979, why? Because if you get a piece of paper and write down the years 1979-2007 and under each year write 1,2,3,4,5 etc, etc. Once you get to the year 2007 you will have the number 29... 2d's correct age today. Do the math peopleeee. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.224.100.154 (talk) 12:46, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He wasn't one year old when he was born. IDISLIKEcaugette (talk) 06:39, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:2D Gorillaz DemonDays.PNG

Image:2D Gorillaz DemonDays.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Madonna Preformance

Uh, if you notice, 2D completely disappeared after Madonna appeared on stage, so he wasn't actually playing Pong on his cell phone while she was there (or at least, not visibly). Should the reference to their preformance with Madonna when mentioning his habit of playing on his cell phone still be there? Noodle2D23 (talk) 18:57, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

2d and Noodle

Article said she is ambivalent to him, quite untrue. See: http://gorillaz-unofficial.com/biography/noodle.htm —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.150.144.1 (talk) 20:26, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Murdoc link under 2D's "Character & Personality" section redirects to the Murdoc from the old McGyver series. Could someone change it? I would but I don't know how.Rhodesisland (talk) 06:44, 18 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Murdoc's Sentence

Hey, I was wondering, What is the ACTUAL name for the type of sentence that Murdoc is given where he has to spend a few hours each day to take care of the hospitalized 2D? Just wondering since I need it for a school project and it would look better on the page than a definition. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.209.119.73 (talk) 23:43, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
