Grace McCleen (born June 1980) is a British author whose first book, The Land of Decoration, will be published in 2012 by Chatto & Windus.[1] McCleen was selected by The Sunday Times as one of the four most promising authors to watch in 2012.[2] The Land of Decoration won the Desmond Elliott Prize in 2012.[3]
McCleen was born in Wales in 1980. She was raised in a Christian fundamentalist household where she was discouraged from mixing with those outside the religion.[2]
