Ball State Project Page Up
Hi Pat, our official project page is now up. I think you are supposed to be represented on it somewhere so I'll leave that up to you! We'll get started on topic ideas tomorrow, after which I'll try to have groups coalesce around the most promising. I hope to share topic ideas in the course Talk page, but if we do that somewhere else I'll let you know. I'll also let you know when Pathfinders are appointed. Cheers —Webster Newbold (talk) 21:41, 18 February 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Pat; We gathered into groups this past Thursday, and I see several have already been in touch with you below. I've gathered groups and their tentative topics on the Project Talk page so there will be one place to go for both you and me to see who is doing what. The sections are meeting again on the project on Thursday Feb 28, then Spring Break intervenes. By Thursday I'm hoping each group can have a solid proposal for a topic, having researched potential sources more completely. I'll ask them to post a more complete description of what they intend to do along with the possible sources they have found in the pathfinders' sandboxes by the end of the day on Thursday. In the meantime, you'll notice that some topics are more developed than others. Could you take a preliminary look (as time permits) at those that already have a specific article and page identified and see if there are any difficulties or potential pitfalls you can notice right away? If you have any comments it might be good to post them to the pathfinder's sandbox, as that is where they will be doing most of the article work. (Two pathfinders haven't enrolled officially yet--you could put comments for that group right under the section on the Project Talk page.) Sorry to dump a lot at once, and thanks again for helping out. Web -Webster Newbold (talk) 23:23, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
Ball State ENG 213 Group Project
Hi Ball State students. Welcome to my glorious talk page. Questions are welcome, please use three "="'s if you can for your headings. Wikilinks (using those square brackets) will make my life easier too. Looking forward to seeing your work! The Interior (Talk) 01:58, 28 February 2013 (UTC)

Hello Pat, my name is Katie and I'm the pathfinder for my group for the ENG 213 Project Page. My group has decided to contribute to the page Disneyland Paris. We are interested in researching about the history of the Amusement park and also the leading factors that caused it to close down. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kawright4 (talk • contribs) 21:59, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
After some discussion we decided that for now we are going to focus on the incidents section and also we have discussed adding more detail about the attractions offered at Disneyland Paris. We will be reviewing sources today as a group. I will update my sandbox with the list of sources that we have decided to use. Do you have any suggestions about other areas of the page to work on? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kawright4 (talk • contribs) 20:09, 28 February 2013 (UTC)
Hello Pat, while viewing the history of the Disneyland Paris page we noticed that there has recently been some vandalism by an anonymous I.P. Our professor instructed us to let you know about this activity in case the user needed to be blocked. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kawright4 (talk • contribs) 21:31, 28 February 2013 (UTC) Also, we have found sources and assigned each group member an area of the page to update. These assignments can be found in my sandbox along with our list of sources. Kawright4 (talk) 21:39, 28 February 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Pat, we are back from Spring Break and ready to finish up our wikipedia project. We would like to know if you had any advice relating to our sources or topic choice. Also we were wondering if the problem with the unknown IP who had vandalized the page in the past has been taken care of. Thanks in advance for any help. We intend to rewrite the promotional content so that it is from a neutral point of view. We also plan to do more research and cite information on the page. Salutations
Hey Pat. I'm Veronica, and I'm the pathfinder for our group. We've got five people in our group, so we've decided to majorly expand the animal ethics page, seeing as it's pretty empty right now. We'll be contributing information from at least ten sources. I look forward to working together in the future. Vmsipe (talk) 147.226.198.219 (talk) 17:35, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
Okay, so we met today and compared sources, most of which are listed in my sandbox. I have three physical books to add to my sources and two people weren't in class, so those sources are not listed. We decided we will structure the page similar to the ethics page, with definition and history sections, and then sections describing (more briefly and with better organization than the ethics page) the primary branches of the study of animal ethics. However, as we don't yet have a perfect grasp of what those branches are, we are all going to peruse some basic, more neutral sources over spring break to try to familiarize ourselves with the topic. When we come back, hopefully we will have a better idea and can get some more specific topics and start reading. Vmsipe (talk) 21:44, 28 February 2013 (UTC)
Hello!
Hello Pat! My name is Adrianna and I am the path finder for my group in English 213. We are doing Earth religion and I was wondering about how we should go about listing the various religions that fall under the category. Since there are separate wiki pages for most of the religions should we simply make a list and only describe any that do not have a wiki page, or should we make a short summary anyway? Or should we only summarize the direct relation to Earth Religion within each religion?
- Thank you so much for helping our class out!AaMartin2 (talk) 16:06, 26 February 2013 (UTC)
- My pleasure! The Interior (Talk) 02:26, 27 February 2013 (UTC)
Earth Religion
To be honest I think my group is a little lost on exactly how to go about adding to this page. As you said it is a very broad topic. We haven't had many ideas of what to add besides the religions that fall under this category, the ethics surrounding it, and examples of it in popular culture. Here is a link to my sandbox which has our current sources and ideas http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:AaMartin2/sandbox AaMartin2 (talk) 02:54, 27 February 2013 (UTC)
- We have finished our rough draft of the article. It would be helpful if you could explain to us the process of transferring from my sandbox onto the actual article. Newbold said something about how we need to transfer a stub into a new article or something. Thank you.AaMartin2 (talk)

Project Group: Under Armor
Hi, my name is Geordan Baker and I'm the pathfinder for a group project to edit the Under Armour page. Please look at the sources listed in my sandbox to see if they are acceptable to use.
Hello, This is Geordan Baker again and we are ready for our information to be reviewed. Our information is located in my Sandbox. We'll need help next week for including it into the main article.

Chicago Pizza Restaurant Group
My name is Titiana and I am the pathfinder for our group. At this point we are hoping to do a new page on a restaurant called Chicago Pizza & Oven Grinder Co. We plan to do a few sections such as the history, location, menu, and reviews. As a group we are collaboratively working together on the page which entails four of us. Visit my sandbox for a list of our sources and topic descriptions. Titiana2012flax (talk) 21:46, 28 February 2013 (UTC)
Hey, That would be great if you could take a picture, please do if you have the opportunity. Thank you. Titiana2012flax (talk) 20:01, 19 March 2013 (UTC)

Article Feedback deployment
Hey The Interior; I'm dropping you this note because you've used the article feedback tool in the last month or so. On Thursday and Friday the tool will be down for a major deployment; it should be up by Saturday, failing anything going wrong, and by Monday if something does :). Thanks, Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 21:20, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
WikiProject naming
Hi there, in relation to the use of WikiProject in a page title, I've started a discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Council#Should the "Wikipedia:WikiProject" prefix be reserved for "full projects/sub projects/task groups" or any gathering?. I don't want to get into any of the other issues associated with this Englishness course or Jack or anything like that, only the appropriateness of the page name. As a holder of a dissenting view to mine, I would appreciate your input to the discussion. Regards, The-Pope (talk) 03:33, 15 March 2013 (UTC)

Sorry for getting back to you so late. I'm fine with publishing that this week, under the current title, but if you come up with anything different in the next several hours, feel free to change it. :-) Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 09:38, 20 March 2013 (UTC)
