WKKX is a locally owned station that features local news talk. Notable hosts are John Blackmore, Howard Monroe, Steve Novotney, Sherrie McCutcheon and Bill DiFabio.

WKKX has also recently began broadcasting the Wheeling Jamboree, a country music program that has been on the air since 1933, making it the third longest running radio program behind the Grand Ole Opry and Music and the Spoken Word.[1]

WKKX is also an affiliate of Fox Sports Radio, carrying their programming overnight.

WKKX used to be the broadcast station of the popular weekly syndicated talk show, Whispers Paranormal Radio, hosted by Jordan Cline. The show is syndicated worldwide via the UFO Paranormal Radio Network.[2] The station lost the show when Jordan Cline moved to South Carolina.
