== History ==
The airport was built in [[1934]], and moved to its current location after 10 years. In [[1980]] it underwent major reconstruction, including construction of the new terminal building and modernization of the runway. This made landing of heavier aircraft possible and opened the door to many new destinations of the [[Soviet Union]].

Sary-Arka Airport (Kazakh: Сарыарқа Әуежайы, Russian: Аэропорт Сары-Арка) (IATA: KGF, ICAO: UAKK) is the airport in Karaganda, Kazakhstan. It is located 20 kilometers south-west from the city.
