Timur Taymazov (Russian/Template:Lang-ua, born September 8, 1970) is a Ukrainian weightlifter of Ossetian origin and Olympic champion.

He was born in Nogir, North Ossetia. Taymazov has a younger brother, Artur, who is also 2004, 2008 and 2012 Olympic Champion in freestyle wrestling 120kg weight category. Timur is a member of the Central Sports Club of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He won a gold medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.[1] He received a silver medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona.[2]
