The yellow-bellied sheath-tailed bat[1] or yellow-bellied pouched bat, Saccolaimus flaviventris, is a species of sheath-tailed bat in the family Emballonuridae. It is found in Australia and Papua New Guinea.
The rare, but fatal to humans, Australian bat lyssavirus has been discovered in the yellow-bellied sheath-tailed bat.[2]
