Just a quick thought on the 'Onions' info that has popped up recently. I would suggest that we hold off for now but add a little sentence into the gameplay text once the game released, along the lines of 'As with previous games in the series additional Pikmin can be grown by returning coloured pellets to one of the Pikmin bases (known in-game as Onions).' I don't think we need to specify which coloured onions appear in the game unless any of them act in a different way to previous games (i.e. if you can teleport an onion to your location or something like that). The Gameplay section of the Pikmin series page describes the onions' purpose quite succinctly already. |

Er . . .
Is there enough information to create this article yet? Explodingdog 01:23, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, I suppose, for one, the series as so far has been generally in the 9/10s, and the developers have hinted at producing the game in an interview. For two, the game could be massive, with a top of 8.5 gigs of space the devs won't pass it up. Anyway, we should still keep it around, as a sequel is sure to abound and Nintendo is very secret (We didn't hear about WarioWare until right before E3)--Signor 02:36, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
- Hell no. It hasn't even been confirmed, only hinted at and rumored. I'm going to prod it.--Ac1983fan 23:27, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

Pikmin 3 at E3 this June says Nintendo life

Why so bland?
Pikmin 3 was shown at E3 months ago, tons of gameplay and images have been shown from the demo. Why is the only image that is shown is the new logo, what's the hold up? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:5C0:1000:A:0:0:0:7E5 (talk) 00:23, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
- Images on Wikipedia need to be free, or meet fair-use standards. Images or screencaps provided by Nintendo or other official sources tend to be protected under copyright and thus cannot be used. We usually use a logo until we can use a game cover, which meets the fair-use standards. BOVINEBOY2008 01:47, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
Release date
In case anyone else is curious, and doesn't read Japanese (Google Translate doesn't work because it's in an image), I verified that the given citation for nintendo.co.jp does say the given date.
