Lisa Getter ia an American investigative journalist. She won the 1995 Goldsmith Prize for Investigative Reporting, with Lizette Alvarez. She won a 1993 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service, and 1999 Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Reporting, with the Miami Herald.

Life

After growing up in the suburban NY area where she founded creative writing groups in school, she graduated from Northwestern University, with a BS in journalism. During her time at Northwestern, she was one of three students who founded the literary magazine Helicon. She was investigative reporter for the Miami Herald, and the Los Angeles Times.[1] She was a 1995 Nieman Fellow.[2] She was a Committee of Concerned Journalists columnist.[3]

She was on the board of Investigative Reporters and Editors.[4] She was Editorial Director of UCG.[5] and is currently with Bloomberg.
