Silverburn (also known as, Pollok town centre or the centre) is an 'out of town' shopping centre located on Barrhead Road in Pollok, Glasgow, Scotland. The development replaces the 75 acre (214,000 sq ft) Pollok centre with a brand new 1,500,000-square-foot (100,000 m2) shopping centre, anchored by Tesco, Next, Marks & Spencer and Debenhams.

The completed Silverburn opened for the first time on Thursday 25 October 2007, although at the time the largest Scottish Tesco Extra opened on July 10, 2006 at the site, replacing the Tesco store in the old Pollok Centre. The Centre houses 95 shopping units and 14 restaurants and cafes.

Developed by Retail Property Holdings Ltd (RPH), it is one of the largest shopping centres in the UK.

The Centre is Glasgow's fifth out of town shopping centre. Catering for a target population from across Scotland, the Centre will arguably benefit Ayrshire, especially with the completion of the M77 to Kilmarnock. The developers have aimed to attract wealthy shoppers from affluent suburbs such as Newton Mearns, as well as the towns and villages in Ayrshire.

Travelling to Silverburn

By Road

Silverburn is accessible from Junction 2 of the M77, and has its own dedicated slip roads for those coming from and going to the south. Unfortunately at times queues can stretch all the way round the Silverburn perimeter road and even onto the M77 itself. It would be advisable to allow an extra hour for access to or from the shopping centre at peak times.

Locally, access to Silverburn's car parks can be found from either Barrhead Road by the M77, or by Peat Road via Cowglen Road, just off Barrhead Road.

Tesco's car park is privately owned by Tesco, and in conjunction with Euro Car Parks now operates a fixed Parking Charge Notification policy on cars parked for longer than four hours. Parking Charge Notices are also issued for parking in a disabled bay or for returning to the car park within 4 hours.

No such charges apply to the Red, Yellow, Green ,Blue and multi-storey Silverburn car parks.

By Bus

Silverburn has its own Bus Stand to the rear of the Centre on Cowglen Road, receiving services such as First's X8 from Glasgow City Centre.
