Inquisitor is a Role-playing video game developed by Czech company Cinemax. The game was originally released in 2009.[1] The game was in development for almost 10 years.[2]
Gameplay
Gameplay is similar to Baldur's Gate. At first, player chooses his character (priest, paladin or thief). Then he plays. The character has to travel through the world and fight against monsters. Player also investigates crimes against the god and the king. He has to find evidence to exhibit charge against the certain person, arrest him and torture him. When the arrested person is convinced, you he can be burned on stake. But it´s possible to be mistaken and arrest innocent person if you find fake evidence. Evidence can be testimony of other characters or thing that is found on the place where the crime was committed. It is also possible to find out something from seemingly unrelated information. Found evidence is written down in main characters notebook.[3]
The game is very long. The palying time is estimated to 100 hours. There is also more than 200 weapons, 80 spells and 7 types of magic. Player can fight against 90 types of monster.[4]
Story
The story takes place in Utherst kingdom. The Prophecy of Saint Ezekiel started to fullfil. The end of the world is coming. Because of it Inquisition started its fight against heresy. The main character is inquisitor who is send to Hillbrandt to investigate murder of local merchant.[5]

Reception
The game received average to positive reviews. It was praised for its story, atmospehere and the scope of the game but was criticized for its graphics and difficulty.[8][9]
