This is the discography of the South Korean girl group Girls' Generation (Korean: 소녀시대; So Nyuh Shi Dae or SNSD).[1] SNSD have been in the music business ever since debuting in the mid-2007. They have currently released four full-length albums, three mini-albums, and three repackaged albums. They have also participated in singing OSTs of various Korean dramas and have been a part of two of SM Town's winter vacation albums 2007 Winter SMTown – Only Love and 2011 Winter SMTown – The Warmest Gift with other fellow SM artists. Their debut song was "Into the New World" (Korean: 다시 만난 세계) in 2007.[2] They have sold over 100,000 copies for each of their four albums, a first for female groups in the South Korean industry in over 6 years.[3][4] Five years after their debut in 2007, the group has sold a total of over 4.6 million albums and 30 million digital singles.[5]

On 2009, they release their first mini album, Gee, which includes the lead single of the same title.[6] The mini album was followed by their second mini album, Genie which was released on June 29, 2009.[7] Girls Generaton released their second studio album, Oh!, on January 28, 2010.[8] The album is listed by Gaon Album Chart as the second best-selling album of 2010 in South Korea, with 197,934 copies sold, and the repackaged version at fourth with 136,851 copies.[9] The studio album was followed by the released of the third mini album, Hoot in October 2010.[10] It was the third best-selling album in South Korea with 163,066 copies sold.[9] In October 2011, the group released their third Korean-language studio album, The Boys.[11] The album has sold over 600,000 copies worldwide.

Girls' Generation, known as Shoujo Jidai[12] (Japanese; 少女時代), made their debut in Japan with the Japanese version of "Genie" in September 2010, with their full-length debut album, Girls' Generation, being released in June 2011. The album is the highest selling album by a Korean group in history.[13] They have released seven Japanese singles since their 2010 debut as well as two studio albums, Girls' Generation and Girls & Peace.[14]
