Jorge Lorenzo took the victory, ahead of pole sitter Dani Pedrosa, and Cal Crutchlow. Valentino Rossi and Álvaro Bautista collided on lap 1, and Marc Márquez crashed with 3 laps to go, after riding in a comfortable second place.
