My Husband's Lover is a Filipino drama series created by Suzette Doctolero aired on GMA Network. It starred by Dennis Trillo, Carla Abellana, Tom Rodriguez and Victor Basa. It premiered on June 10, 2013 replacing Love & Lies on the network's primetime block.[1] The show premiered on June 11, 2013 on GMA Pinoy TV, one day after its original premiere.
Synopsis
My Husband's Lover tells the story of Vincent(Tom Rodriguez) who got his girlfriend Lally(Carla Abellana), pregnant while they were still in college. The two decided to get married even if Vincent's mother, Elaine, was very much against it. With that, Lally's life of marriage was never smooth-sailing because of Vincent's mother. But for the sake of her love for her husband, Lally endures the hardships in dealing with her mother-in-law.
However, when Lally got pregnant with their second child, Vincent suddenly became distant and cold towards her. Lally felt that Vincent was being unfair to her so she decided to leave together with their children. Vincent loves his kids so much, so he tries to win back his wife by proposing and this time, getting married again with a blessing from the church.
Lally and Vincent's life became better after the church wedding. But unknown to Lally, Vincent is keeping a secret from her; it is also his secret that he kept from everyone else ever since he was young. He is homosexual.
He kept his secret hidden for so long, afraid that this will destroy his family. However, everything changes when he meets Eric(Dennis Trillo) again. Eric was and still is Vincent's great love. But unlike Vincent, Eric is openly gay and he is still in love with Vincent as well. Because of their strong feelings for each other, they started having an affair.
Vincent tries to hide the affair from Lally by showering her with gifts and attention. However, Lally's intuition tells her that something is wrong even though everything in her married life seems fine. That's when she started to investigate. She eventually learned of Vincent's darkest secret.[2]

Critical Response
My Husband's Lover receive positive reviews from critics and viewers alike. Due to the show's extensive promotion as well as general public interest, the show was one of the more awaited and anticipated new shows for 2013. The pilot was the recipient of many positive reviews from publications such as philSTAR, Manila Bulletin and Abiva Publishing House. Other reviewers described it as a guilty pleasure rather than an hour's worth of must-watch television. Ricky Lo cited the series as having a "Fresh and highly unique concept" while the creator Suzette Doctolero has expressed support for the show, noting that all of her major plot points were present in the pilot. Garnering a positive review from the viewers were the performances of the three main actors from the show in the pilot episodes that includes Tom Rodriguez, Victor Basa and Carla Abellana. The show described as No Other Woman meets the I Heart You, Pare!.[3]Glydel Mercado performance also praise by the critics.
