Twisted (stylized as twiƨted) is an American teen drama mystery-thriller television series. The show will premiere in the summer of 2013 on ABC Family. The pilot episode aired on March 19, 2013 following the season 3 finale of Pretty Little Liars. The series will fully premiere on June 11, 2013.
The series was renamed from Socio to be more emblematic of its murder mystery format.

The series focuses on sixteen-year-old Danny Desai, who returns to his hometown after killing his aunt five years prior when he was 11 years old. While trying to rekindle old friendships and fit in with his judgmental peers, Danny becomes the prime suspect in the murder of a fellow classmate upon his return. Realizing the town does not care about the truth, Danny becomes determined to clear his name. Meanwhile, he must also keep another secret under wraps—the true reason he killed his aunt.

When they were eleven years old, Danny, Jo, and Lacey were best friends. One day, Danny murdered his aunt while she was babysitting the three of them and was subsequently placed into a juvenile detention center. Five years later, Jo and Lacey have gone their separate ways, although they are both bound by the horrific experience that they had to endure. Lacey has put the past behind her and is a member of the popular crowd, while Jo is a social outcast who is still haunted by the incident. Danny is newly released from prison and tries to reconnect with the girls, who want nothing to do with him. The entire school has given him the nickname "Socio". Jo eventually comes around, however, when a schoolmate at a party ends up murdered, Danny naturally becomes the main suspect. | ||||||
