Welcome!
Hello, Cpt.schoener, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- Tutorial
- How to edit a page
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}}
before the question on your talk page. Again, welcome! Shalom (Hello • Peace) 20:49, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
Your edits to Abraham ibn Ezra
Your edits are all okay, but I think spellings in the previous versions also can be justified. For Wikipedia guidelines on transliterating Hebrew words, please see Wikipedia:Naming conventions (Hebrew). Shalom (Hello • Peace) 20:49, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, I understand now. These characters display just fine on my computer, but since they're non-ASCII characters they may not display correctly on your computer. Changing these characters to an ASCII format, e.g. h or ch instead of an ḥ (h with a dot under it) is actually a good idea. Go ahead, and thank you. Shalom (Hello • Peace) 21:10, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
Hi and some suggested reading
Hi, I notice that you're still fairly new to the English Wikipedia and are therefore unfamiliar with some of the rules about content. Can I suggest you read WP:No original research. I can quite believe that some of what Sand says may have things in common with Stalin's views, but unless a WP:Reliable source says so, we aren't allowed to make that link.
There is regular conflict among Wikipedia editors on issues related to the Arab-Israeli conflict (and numerous other conflicts too). If you're going to be editing in that area, you need to be aware of the editing rules as, whatever you say, there will be bound to be editors who disagree with you strongly and will be tempted to report any violations of the editing rules that you make. All too many new editors on either side of the conflict end up learnign the hard way and being blocked from editing.--Peter cohen (talk) 12:09, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
GA reassessment of Abraham Goldfaden
I have conducted a reassessment of the above article as part of the GA Sweeps process. I have found some concerns with the referencing which you can see at Talk:Abraham Goldfaden/GA1. I have placed the article on hold whilst these are fixed. Thanks. Jezhotwells (talk) 19:24, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Zvi Laron
I note that you have recently materially enhanced the article on Avi Laron. However, none of the additional data added by you is in any way sourced. As you are aware, unsourced information, especially with regard to a living person, may well be deleted, and I strongly urge you to add credible citations if you not wish to put your recent hardwork in jeapody. difficulty
The last time I cannot make some editings of openings of articles because in the Wiki toolbar there is no the "edit" item between "discussion" and "history". But if I remain anonymous there is sometimes the item "edit" in the toolbar. How is possible to fix that? Cpt.schoener (talk) 21:51, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
Happy Passover!
Same to you, my friend :) Cheers, Ynhockey (Talk) 20:25, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification
Hi. When you recently edited Peter Abrahams, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Azerbaijani (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Adevărul may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it.
