Darren Billy, Jr., professionally known as Lab Ox, is an American hip-hop, R&B, Rock, R&B, Urban and pop producer from Houston, Texas.[1] He has produced and written songs for artists and groups such as Willow Smith, Nicki Minaj, 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, G-Unit, Drake, Yolanda Adams, and more. He is currently signed to Jay-Z's record label Roc Nation.[2]

Early career

Lab Ox got his first start in the record business with 50 Cent as a producer on former G-Unit and now G-Note Records artist Hot Rod's demo project.[3] On Auguest 17, 2007, he produced a diss record 50 Cent released aimed at Lil Wayne entitled "Part Time Lover".[4] The record would later be featured on the mix-tape "Sabrina's Baby Boy", the last in the "G-Unit Radio" mix-tape series.[5]

He works alongside his long-time production partner J Angel.[6]
