Bonjela is a good substance which can also be used on painful wisdom tooth. Be careful with how much is being used. It can cause dizziness if too much has been used.

Speaking from personal experience I feel Bonjela worked very well especially for my impacted wisdom tooth. I suffered severe headaches, fever and dizziness for many days. I would apply the gel on the affected area and for about 1-2 hours I would feel nothing.

Although its a product that wears off quickly it gave me and my mouth peace for a short while, which was the best thing in the world when you have a tooth ache.

Please do purchase this product I highly recommend it.

Bonjela is a brand of oral treatments aimed to relieve the pain of mouth ulcers and denture sores. The brand covers a range of products. Bonjela Adult and Cool are oral gels containing keratolytic and mildly antiseptic salicylic acid in the form of its salt choline salicylate and the antiseptic cetalkonium chloride as active ingredients. Both products are suitable only for people aged 16 or over because of a possible association between salicylates and Reye's syndrome.[1][2]

This formulation is also sold in Australia as Bonjela Teething gel, for the treatment of teething pain in babies. By contrast, Bonjela Teething Gel in the UK and Ireland, is a different formulation, as salicylate-based products cannot be used in under-16's in the UK.[3] This formulation of Bonjela Teething gel contains the local anesthetic lidocaine and the antiseptic cetalkonium chloride.

The range also includes Bonjela Complete Plus and Once, which act by forming a protective barrier over the ulcer.

Bonjela is distributed by Reckitt Benckiser Healthcare and is available in the United Kingdom, France, Ireland, South Africa, Nigeria, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Pakistan and many Caribbean countries (such as Trinidad and Tobago).
