Thanks for uploading :Image:SSGCC3.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page. |
|||
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the GFDL-self tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as fairusein or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. |
|||
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -<font color="blue">SCEhard</font><font color="#3D9140"><b>T</b></font> 22:29, 31 May 2006 (UTC) |

Welcome
Welcome to Wikipedia! :) Note that articles with no information on their subjects are often deleted quickly. See WP:CSD. - Haukur 13:48, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
welcome fellow malaysian!
Hey, welcome onboard. I hope to see you contribute more about Malaysia, be it Sabah or Malaysia in general. You might be interested in Wikipedia:Malaysia-related topics notice board. We somewhat coordinate Malaysia-related stuff over there. Till then, have fun! __earth (Talk) 16:16, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Dive_mabul.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Dive_mabul.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: TemplateName
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags.

Empty, redundant categories
Please don't make categories just for the sake of it. I'm nominating most of your empty and redundant categories for deletion. __earth (Talk) 16:26, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Sabah museum, but we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. Perhaps you would like to rewrite the article in your own words. For more information, take a look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Happy editing! __earth (Talk) 01:38, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
Sabah subcategories
I have deleted a few of the empty categories you created for Category:Sabah—Society & Culture, News & Media and Science & Technology. Because these were always empty, and have been for quite some time, they are speedy deletable, which means deletable on sight without discussion. The other empty categories created with similar names were (unnecessarily) listed on Wikipedia:Categories for deletion. These appear to have been created by accident, as you have created numerous others for Sabah topics that properly included "Sabah" in the category name. Feel free to create additional subcategories for Category:Sabah that are properly named, but make sure their names and the subject divisions correspond to those already observed in Category:Malaysia overall. Cheers, Postdlf 00:48, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
Misusage of categories and regarding Template:Sabah
Hello. I want to inform you that you are misusing category. It's not a place for a collection of outside link. And please ensure your categories are consistent with other categories. For instance, please observe precedent available in other Malaysian states or even other well-developed categories for states (like Category:California). Note that there is a certain naming convention that needs to be adhere.
Concerning Template:Sabah, I feel strongly that it should only be included in pages which is linked by the template. In this case, only divisions and towns/cities/villages of Sabah should have that template. And please be mindful whenever you decide to add the template because some pages have already had existing template. Adding another one something result in cosmetic disaster. I had removed some that graphically overlapped with one another. Thanks. __earth (Talk) 03:24, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
Reply to "why why why"
Hello. Firstly, I want to apologize for being harsh and perhaps rude. However, the reason I blanked some of your work (which I was coincidentally checking on Sabah's categories) is that, those articles contains stuff copied verbatim from outside and copyrighted source. At the same time, the lack of copyright notice doesn't mean you have the right to copy it and paste it here.
And categories, Category:Recreation & Sports in Sabah is very out of line. Wikipedia already has Category:Recreation. At the same time, the current convention uses Category:Sport in Malaysia. So, if you want to make new related Sabah categories, it should Category:Recreation in Sabah (though I don't recommend this cat because the parent cat itself isnt about what you are trying to compile) and Category:Sport in Sabah. The Category:Recreation & Sports in Sabah is simply not in line with Wikipedia's style.
I hope that helps. __earth (Talk) 19:00, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

Hi. You recently added yourself to Wikipedia:Requests for adminship. There is a certain procedure that must be followed to nominate yourself. Please visit Wikipedia:Requests_for_adminship/nominate for further information. My advise to you would be to continue your good work at wikipedia for a few more months and let someone else nominate you. All the best for the future- Aksi_great 10:45, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
