Template:Spanish name 2 Francisco González Rodríguez is a Spanish banker, the chairman and chief executive of BBVA[1][2] since 2001.[3]
González was appointed president of the then state-owned bank Argentaria, by the ruling People's Party in 1996[4] and, following the merger with Banco Bilbao Vizcaya in 1999, was co-president, with Emilio Ybarra, until the latter's resignation in 2001.[3]
