''There have been many times a child lost his or her fairies, but there have been many ways they left. Sometimes they leave on a fairy cab, get sucked into a giant copy of 'Da Rules', or Jorgen Von Strangle forces them back to Fairy World. Jorgen then promptly deletes their memories. For some reason, Timmy doesn't forget them at all. '' |

When Jorgen "erased Timmy's memory," he actually erased the memory of Timmy's clone, NOT the actual Timmy Turner. |

One contributor has stated of the program, "Yet is not very popular."
- Not true. http://www.fairlyoddparents.net/index.php?fopw=archives_feb1 quotes figures of 3.2 million viewers, putting it at Number 1 for the night. --Darac Marjal 12:00, 13 Apr 2004 (UTC)
Cancellation
Removed a one line section about a cancellation rumour. Don't think it's encyclopedic nor did it need its own section but if it eventually turns out to be, update the main article to include it. SynergyBlades 20:21, 3 November 2005 (UTC)
Jorgen
The article says that J von S is voiced by Rodger Bumpass, but IMDB says it's Daran Norris (also the voice of Mr Turner). Which is it? Marnanel 00:26, 9 Jul 2004 (UTC)
It was Daran
No it's not. It might not be Bumpass, but TV Tome has confermed Jorgen and Mr. Turner are not vioced by the same guy. This may have changed in recent seasons, but I doubt it. --Wack'd About Wiki 11:32, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Sneaky vandalism
This page seems to attract one or more anons who regulary add sneaky vandalism to it. I'm not familiar with the series, so could any fan of this series check the facts added by the anons on this page please? --Conti|✉ 23:07, Aug 1, 2004 (UTC Animereadabouter: Don't forget acorrding to tv.com jorgen is voiced by Daran norris
Jorgen's role
I was under the impression that Jorgen is hot. Actually in charge of fairy world, but is actually more of an enforcer. Maybe I'm just confused... but he has been a dance instructor, a movie star in general, , along with his "pleaderlike" roles. And think also to his security duty at the gates to anti-fairy world. But from what I've said with other people, it seems that I'm the only one that notices. If you were to ask me, I'd probably say his position was as a head of opperations (He probably has many titles to go along with his many roles).
I think this is probably right... in the one episode where Cosmo is on the "This Is Your Life" type show (can't remember the name of the episode) we see the "fairy top bass" who take away one of Jorgen's stars every time Cosmo messes up. Oddball990 2:48, June 9, 2005 (UTC)
It was called "This is Your Wish." --Wack'd About Wiki 11:35, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Dead linkage
- And maybe it's just my browser, but all of the links (And my attempts in the address bar) lead me to believe that www.fairlyoddparents.net no longer exists. I'm not sure if this is the right place to mention that... (Maybe they're just experiencing technical difficulties right now, in which case, I appologize for taking up space.)
- I've relayed your observation to the NickDisk FOP forum; the site in question being down is not a topic of current discussion right now, but just maybe, somebody who posts there either is "nickelbob" or knows him. knoodelhed 06:53, 3 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Is there any reason for Fairly OddParents instead of Fairly Odd Parents? Or should I move it? --Dyss 17:14, 21 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- I first moved this article from Fairly Oddparents to Fairly Odd Parents, because "Fairly Odd Parents" gets the most google hits, but now I'm unsure. Most of the fans seem to address the series as "Fairly OddParents".. I'd like some official source which says which version is the right name for the series. --Conti|✉ 20:07, Sep 21, 2004 (UTC)
- Looks like Fairly OddParents is right after all. http://www.nick.com/all_nick/tv_supersites/display_show.jhtml?show_id=fai The logo isn't very clear but the tblack on white text below it is. --Dyss 13:28, 22 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Voices... I hear voices...
I checked the last anonymous submission... I'm pretty sure that was vandalism, so I took it out (although I haven't seen the entire show...there MAY be a Gates reference somewhere). I also took out the mentioning of the more famous roles of certain voice actors (Frankie Muniz, for one); I figured they were irrelevant to, and detracting from the article. - According to "Father Time," C&W were Gate's godparents in the 60s, and then in the late 60s they may've been Crocker's. Or vise versa. As most of you know, there is no continuety betweem some episodes. (Examples: Vicky's little brother from Oh Yeah!'s origanal FOP scetch has never appeared, and Vicky's pets (minus Diodle) from "A Dog's Life" have never been seen again). So the matter of C&W's former godchildern has been confused quite a bit. --Wack'd About Wiki 10:08, 2 August 2005 (UTC)

Sexual Innuendo?
I must say right now that I am a major fan of Fairly OddParents and have practically watched every episode twice or more times, and not once have I ever encountered a "subliuminal sexually suggestive" joke. Sure, I agree there might be some jokes that only adults might get, but I have never encountered any sexual innuendo in the show as this article suggests. If anyone begs to differ, be my guest and show me an example. Thank you!
- I'd be glad to give you an example or two. I'm not sure if they count as "innuendos" per se, but there are certainly some more...adult jokes on the show--for example, Cosmo's plastic surgery in This Is Your Wish and a scene in Mighty Mom and Dyno Dad where we cut outside and Timmy's dad says something like "And that's all you need to know about where babies come from!". -Shippy Mandy
- The plastic surgery joke I don't get, but the "baby's" gag was something to laugh at since I saw "the video" (nu nu nu nuuu...nu nu nu nuuu...) and know that they don't use machines, or at least not that "the video" (nu nu nu nuuu...nu nu nu nuuu...) said. (Timmy's comment - "But what do they need the machines for?"). But kids ten and under, who haven't seen "the video" (nu nu nu nuuu...nu nu nu nuuu...) might not get it. --Wack'd About Wiki 10:15, 2 August 2005 (UTC)
- As you may recall, in This Is Your Wish, there was a scene where Cosmo was seen with breast implants, or at least some form of inflatable bra. He says, "I thought you said plastic surgery!" and Timmy starts laughing hysterically. Cosmo says, "I'm keeping them." I think it's pretty self-explanatory. -Shippy Mandy
Well.....I think there are some sexual innuendos and some sexual references. Specifically Juandissimo Magnifico. especially him repeatedly saying 'do you think i'm sexy?' i'm sure this would be controversial to some parents. maybe we should add a controversy section?
- I don't think a few rare sexual innuendo jokes would warrant the statement in the "Adult Humor" section. Frankly, I think that statement should be taken out. Wolf ODonnell 13:00, 1 December 2005 (UTC)
- Nothing in The Fairly OddParents! qualifies as "adult humor," because no adult worth their balls would find anything on this crap show funny. What it all comes down to is that Butch Hartman has...issues, and Nickelodeon is so desperate for their next big hit, they let him share them with today's youth. And we all know parents don't care what their kids watch as long as it's on Nick. Darth Katana X 03:36, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
- I disagree, there is humor which can be seen in two ways, and depending how old you are you might see the jokes as more "adult" in nature, and therefore I think adults will find it very funny at times. That said I do agree that since they can be seen in very different ways depending on how old you are an "Adult Humor" section might not be needed, however I do think some of it might be worth noting in the trivia section. Ryokosha 12:51, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
Well, I THINK this is one..But there is this one when Timmy is chaseing Tom Sawyer thru all these books when they relize that the last book is "The laws of Fisics(sp?) for morrons" and he's like "He could turn Gravity into gravy! He could turn Planets into plants!" And wandas like "He could turn Uranus into..OH NO!" And cosmos like "Wait..I don't get it."
- That isn't adult humor, either; that's what we with sense call "retard humor." I hate this show more than the media, and almost more than I hate terrorists. Well, then again, Butch Hartman is a terrorist, so he falls under that category. Darth Katana X 03:36, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
- What's with the sour grapes? Interesting how you cite your hate for the media and terrorists, that's a nice touch. Riff 08:21, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
When they first met that crazy princess that was suposed to marry Mark Chang Cosmo was about to say something and Wanda handed him a card and he changed what he was saying to "I can't do that I'm married..."
Brief History POV issues
The Brief History section seems to really need a bit of rewrite, as the language really leans to the stated opinion that FOP "jumped the shark" upon Hartman's departure. At one point it even flat out states, as fact, that the newer episodes weren't as funny.
Yes they were! A ton of kids loved "Timmy's 2-D House of Horrors." And the others were good, too! --Wack'd About Wiki 10:17, 2 August 2005 (UTC)
Response To Talk
For the person who thinks I am wrong, me, as the writer of the breif history article will tell you why I wrote what I wrote.
- I never said FOP was not popular, I just said it wasn't popular in it's first year, and that it's ratings are falling, both of which are true, but the show is popular.
- I did not say Rodger Bumpass did Jorgans voice, that was someone else.
- Uh, huh
- Useless edit
- Useless
- I have pointed out at least one sex joke in nearly every episode of this show made in the Hartman years.
- Many people believe the show started going downhill when hartman left, including me, my friends, and many people on the web.
- Edited for being opinionated ::
Include me as well. 2-House of Horror is plain horrible. And the show's been bad for well over a year.
Juandissimo Magnifico or Wandissimo Magnifico?
According to TV Tome's FOP page, it's not Juandissimo Magnifico, it's Wandissimo Magnifico. TV Tome's FOP page is probably right, since "Cosmo" is probably a reference to the cosmos and Wanda and Wandissimo Magnifico are probablly references to wands.
- The name is indeed spelled Juandissimo; that's how the name is spelled in the end credits.
- It is pronounced Wandissimo, but Juandissimo sounds like a correct spelling Sonic Mew 17:39, Jun 8, 2005 (UTC)
Juandissimo is how it is spelled in captions as well.
A. J.
Okay, AJ'S last name is not Ibrahim, this is actually the first name of the first v/o who did his voice, Ibrahim Haneef Muhammad.
Hartman's Heart Lies Within FOP
Okay, whatever idiot claimed Hartman left the show to work on Danny Phantom, you are the biggest idiot in the world. It has been confermed by my friend who works inside of Nickelodeon that Hartman is currently working on both FOP and DP. --Wack'd About Wiki 21:02, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- PS: Yes that's allowed.
I have deleted all information helping to spread the rumor that Hartman left FOP. This is false, as I stated above. --Wack'd About Wiki 11:29, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Butch Hartman has left. He is not in the shows credits anymore. And FOP sucks these days anyway, so obviously it couldn't be him doing it.
For your information (and I don't like to brag, please don't call me a bragger), I've spent practically all my time on the best TV- and Nickelodeon-based websites on the net. Plus, I live right across the street from someone who works in Nickelodeon (see Jennifer), and have memorized the theme song to almost every Nick show currently airing as of 2003; so I like to fancy myself a Nickelodeon expert. Both TV.com and Jen say Butch is still on FOP. As for the end credits, it's probably a mistake or Butch skipped work in a bunch of episodes and those where the only ones you saw the credits for. --Wack'd About Wiki 22:07, 24 July 2005 (UTC)
- PS: The new episodes do not stink.
- Yeah, the new episodes don't stink, they suck.
- For your information, whether the show stinks or sucks in an oppinon, and I say its niether. Anyway, we're supposed to be talking about the artical content here, not the suck-level of the show, so if you want to go insult FOP, take it to the Internet Movie Database. End of descussion. --Wack'd About Wiki 15:06, 16 August 2005 (UTC)
Needs to be Organized
Article looks messy. Could someone clean it up?
- I agree. Especially the Trivia section is ridiculously huge. Most of the trivia appears obvious to me (such as the Star Wars reference), some of it isn't even real trivia (the reference about Wanda being fat), and some of it is poorly written (the reference to birthdays). I vote we break the Trivia out into a subpage and clean both it and the original article up. SavannahLion 14:04, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
Sanjay+Sönjay?
I always thought the credits said that Sanjay's name was spelled and pronounced Sönjay. Homeschool Winner
- I dont' know where you're getting that from. Sanjay is Indian. Sanjay (the spelling) is Indian. and the captions spell it Sanjay
- Agree with above comment. Sanjay is an Indian name. And a fine one. It's mine! ;-) Sönjay isn't even a real name, and moreover an Indian name would not have a European umlaut. If you don't believe us, just check the IMDB credits, or better yet the captions. 151.205.103.25 22:11, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
Chrizis? Muscles?
Last time I checked, there was no character on this show named Chrizis, or if there was, he didn't turn dorks 'bad' in the beta club chatroom. On another note, in Jorgen's article, it says ("possibly the head of Fairyworld, if not then his muscles are") or something to that effect. The last time I checked, muscles couldn't be the head of anything. What's up with that, anyway? 216.231.185.151
- Probably vandalism, I'm thinking by Cartoon Guy. I've been trying to clean up the article but I don't watch the show enough to know that much about the characters. The characters section, by the way, needs to be downgraded IMO. Either move it to a separate page or cut out minor characters. ♥purplefeltangel 9 July 2005 06:22 (UTC)
Cosmo and Wanda Cosma
It is a good assumsion that C&W's last name is Cosma, bacause Cosmo's mother is called Moma Cosma, noting she is the mother of someone in the Cosma family (obviously Cosmo, it's been mentioned so many times before Moma Cosma is Cosmo's mom), and if it was supposed to mean "mother of Cosmo" it would've been someting more along those lines. --Wack'd About Wiki 08:19, 27 July 2005 (UTC)
Also note that in the SpongeBob SquarePants episode Sailor Mouth Mr. Krabs's mom is called "Mama Krabs."
Dimmsdale's Location
I think Dimmsdale is in the East, they never said that Dimmsdale Flats was ment to be modern-day Dimmsdale, whereas in the Colonial Dimmsdale episode we actually see it be named. Plus, if Dimmsdale Flats was ment to be modern-day Dimmsdale, it wouldn't've been there at all because modern Dimmsdale would've be built over it [Dimmsdale Flats]. --Wack'd About Wiki 11:17, 2 August 2005 (UTC)
- Actually, I couldn't put a source on it, but I'm pretty certain that Dimmsdale is in California. The Colonial Dimmsdale thing was IMHO a mistake. Haikupoet 15:13, 2 August 2005 (UTC)
- Dimmsdale is definitly in California, episodes have proved it is in Northern California near Sacremento.
- I might not be a geoligy expert, but I don't see how episodes have proved it's in North California, and I've seen a good 4/5 episodes, posiblly more (the only ones I've missed are the first season 3-parters and the rest of season 5). --Wack'd About Wiki 14:57, 16 August 2005 (UTC)
- It's definitley in Southern California, somewhere west of Los Angleles, as shown in Fairy Idol, though in the Christmas special it is shown that Dimmsdale is in Northern California. What we all know so far that it's at least in California. The Runescape Junkie 17:14, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Da Rules
I am wondering: is every rule wrote down in the article correct? I don't remember the ninth one appearing even in the episode where Timmy lends his Godparents to Tootie, besides, Timmy lends them to the Nega-chin, while believing he was the Crimson Chin in the same episode where he appears from the first time, and I don't think that the Crimson Chin is more miserable than Timmy (Though, maybe the Nega-chin is; at that moment in the episode, not Timmy or his Godparents know he is not the Crimson Chin). I also don't remember the eleventh one; althought, I remember a similar version of it, but in that one the children would only lose its Fairy Godparents if he said that he was happy and didn't need his Fairy Godparents. There also seems that there's some kind of rule in the series that states that every children that is too mean or ungrateful could lose his/hers Godparents (as happened in a pair of episodes in the series) but I really don't know if it is suppossed to be written in "Da Rules" book. Also again, I think that someone might point in wich order are these rules wrote down in the article or then have the numbers in them deleted, because at least the fifth one was added to "Da Rules" book in the christmas special chapter (thus, making it one of the latest) but, since it did appear quite early in the series, it might as well be the fifth one appearing. I think some expert might be needed to help out in the writing of this section(like someone working in production or someone in contact with them).
I'm your man. Here are my answers:
- About Rule Nine: The rule was mentioned in Tootie's b-day episode, and since FOP continuaty is very loose at times, I suppose the Nega-Chin thing was a goof (althought this episode came before Tootie's b-day).
- About Rule Eleven: Mentioned in School's Out: The Musical, although the rule doesn't make much sence.
- About Rule Numbers: They aren't in any preticular order, so I'll fix that.
- About Ungreatfulness Rule: I'll add that.
Curiously asking
I was wondering, just out of the ordinary, does Trixie have a secret crush on Timmy? And if she does, what do you think Trixie's body will look like in the future. I think she will mature into a heavenly hour-glass figure. Do you think in the future Timmy and Trixie will have any sort of...realtionship?
- About Secert Crush: Duh!
- About Trixie's Body: Ew!

parents names?
are there any hints to the parents names?
In many episodes their mentioned as Timmy's mom and Timmy's dad. These names are not just mentioned by Timmy but by Chet-U-Betcha as well. --24.247.126.44 01:23, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
- The nearest they ever came to saying the names was two times, one was when Sherlock Holmes was brought to life by Timmy's wish and said he deduced their names were .... and the episode ended, and the other was when Timmy first goes back in time to stop his father from winning a trophy. When he says "Dad look out!" His father responds something like "Well Dad is what they call me but my real name is ...." at which time a truck roars past. So they haven't said it and it's true so far they haven't actually given any major hints. Ryokosha 02:04, 1 March 2006 (UTC).

Trivia
The Trivia section seems too long, badly written, and mostly useless. Part of the show's humor is that its full of pop-culture references, but do we need to list them -all-? I'd fix it, but frankly, I'm not bold enough for such a big change.
- Was just going to add a comment similar too above . Someone with a greater knowledge of the show should really trim this list
(Gnevin 00:41, 30 April 2006 (UTC))
- I agree. Whoever wrote the list forgot the references to TRON and The Matrix in the Power Mad episode. While I'm a fan of "The Fairly OddParents", I don't have the knowlegde of every reference in every episode so I can only help out with a couple of references.--Mr. Sinistar 01:11, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
TRIVIA
This section of the trivia is incorrect:
There have been many times a child lost his or her fairies, but there have been many ways they left. Sometimes they leave on a fairy cab, get sucked into a giant copy of 'Da Rules', or Jorgen Von Strangle forces them back to Fairy World. Jorgen then promptly deletes their memories. For some reason, Timmy doesn't forget them at all.
When Jorgen "erased Timmy's memory," he actually erased the memory of Timmy's clone, NOT the actual Timmy Turner.
