Crafting is a trainable skill in the MMORPG RuneScape that allows players to increase their skill levels by combining raw materials in various ways to create useful items that can be used in other skills or sold for profit.
Crafting allows players to make various items with traditional crafting skills such as pottery, glassblowing, leatherworking, goldsmithing, and silversmithing.

Crafting Guild
The Crafting Guild, southwest of Falador, is available to both members and non-members with a crafting level 40 or greater. A brown apron must be worn when players wish to enter the guild. The guild has a small mining area that contains 7 gold rocks, 6 silver rocks, and 6 clay desposits. There is also a cow farm near it to get cow hides.

Craftable items
Pottery
To create pottery, players must mine clay and mix it with water to make it pliable. The soft clay can then be used with a pottery wheel to create unfired pottery items, which must be baked in a pottery oven before they can be used. Pottery items, such as pots, pie tins, and plant pots, are useful in the cooking and farming skills.

Glassblowing
Clay must be mined and then moistened into a workable state with some water. The soft clay may then be used on a pottery wheel then baked in a pottery oven. Items such as pots and bowls may be made this way.
In order to make items by glassblowing, players must have a glassblowing pipe and gather seaweed to burn into soda ash and sand, which are heated together in a furnace to make molten glass. The moltern glass can then be blown in items such as vials and lantern lenses. Glassblowing can only be done by P2P players.

Glass

Glass is made by heating sand and soda ash in a furnace. Soda ash is acquired through the burning of seaweed. Items such as vials for potions and lanterns may be made with this skill. Glassworking is a members only skill.

Spinning

Spinning
Though this is not often used as a serious way to raise their crafting level, players can shear sheep and spin their wool on spinning weels to make balls of wool, which are used to string amulets so they can be worn. Members can also spin bowstrings, which are used in fletching; many low level players make their money this way.

Types of Gems

Gems from Sapphire to Diamond may be randomly found by mining any type of rock in RuneScape, or get the gems directly from gem rocks in Shilo Village. Gems from Opal to Red Topaz may be crushed if the chiseller fails to cut them properly. All these gems, with the exception of opal, jade, and red topaz, may be made into either a ring, a necklace or an amulet. They may be enchanted if the player has the appropriate Magic level and the necessary runes. While enchanting amulets are universally available, enchanting rings is limited to member servers. Gold jewellery without gems cannot be enchanted.

Silversmithing
Silversmithing
Silver is obtained with the mining skill and is used to create several items, such as holy and unholy symbols, tiaras, and several quest items such as the demon sigil, the silver sickle and the Staff of Ivan. Players may bless their holy symbols in the second level of the Monastery by talking to Brother Jared. A Prayer level of 31 is required to enter the second level of the Monastery. Players may also bless their Unholy Symbol by taking it to the Spirit of Scorpius after completing the Observatory Quest. Players may also bless their symbols by having a completed prayer book from Horror from the Deep quest and level 50 prayer.

It is treated in the same way that the former snake skin in terms of crafting. Since snake skins are relatively small, it therefore requires a number of skins to make just one piece of the SnakeSkin Armour. Larger items such as the body require more skins. It takes 46 skins to make a full set. Snake skin crafting may only be done by RuneScape members.

Crafting is a trainable skill in the MMORPG RuneScape that allows players to increase their skill levels by combining raw materials in various ways to create useful items that can be used in other skills or sold for profit.

Crafting Guild

The Crafting Guild, southwest of Falador near Rimmington, is available to pay to play (P2P) and free to play (F2P) players with a crafting level of at least 40. Players must be wearing a brown apron to admit admittance to the Guild Hall. The guild has a mining area containing 7 gold rocks, 6 silver rocks, and 6 clay desposits. Also available in the Guild are pottery wheels, pottery ovens, spinning wheels, a sink, a farm with cows that drop cowhides, and a tanner. Nearby are deposits of sand.

Disciplines

Crafting is a diverse skill involving several different disciplines, the practice of which allows players to create a large number of different types of items.

In order to make items by glassblowing, players must have a glassblowing pipe and gather seaweed to burn into soda ash and sand, which are heated together in a furnace to make molten glass. The moltern glass can then be blown in items such as vials and lantern lenses. Glassblowing can only be done by P2P players.

Spinning

Though this is not often used as a serious way to raise their crafting level, players can shear sheep and spin their wool on spinning weels to make balls of wool, which are used to string amulets so they can be worn. Members can also spin bowstrings, which are used in fletching; many low level players make their money this way.

Battlestaffs

To make a battlestaff of any nature, players must have 56 crafting. Uncharged battlestaves are bought from the magic guild or from the staff shop in Varrock. Players then may enchant glass orbs using the magic skill and attach them to the staves. Players may fully upgrade their staff at Wizard Thormac north of Ardougne for 40,000 gold pieces. Battlestaves may only be crafted by members.

Jewellery

There are different types of Jewellery players may use, and there are also different types of gems players may use in their Jewellery. Players may craft rings, necklaces, and amulets, most of which can be enchanted to serve a special purpose.

Players may bless their holy symbols in the second level of the Monastery by talking to Brother Jared. A Prayer level of 31 is required to enter the second level of the Monastery. Players may also bless their Unholy Symbol by taking it to the Spirit of Scorpius after completing the Observatory Quest. Players may also bless their symbols by having a completed prayer book from Horror from the Deep quest and level 50 prayer.

Weaving

Players may weave sacks or baskets for use in farming. Jute Fibers and Willow Branches are used in weaving these. Only members may weave.
